On the cinematic Digital Monk EP created for E.M.M.A.'s Pastel Prism label, Dexplicit recreates the vibes he used to feel when playing old school video games back in the day. Carefully updated for a 2020 world, the EP plays out like a video game quest for freedom.

Dexplicit said: ‘Making this EP I could go as far into the virtual synth world as I wanted to and I enjoyed the voyage. My inspirations were mostly from video games and 80s shows/movies. I took it as an opportunity to explore some of the sounds I used to love as a kid. Knowing that it can’t really be boxed into any genre is liberating.’
